5 meeting venues in the Randstad that you need to know about

Our 2019 facts and figures revealed that meeting space in the Randstad region is the most popular. A whopping 59 % of booked meetings take place in Amsterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and Rotterdam. The fact that so much is booked in these cities also means that the supply of venues is huge. Therefore, this time Worldmeetings tips five locations in the Randstad that you should know about.

The Hague

The Binkhorst in The Hague is a former industrial area and harbour that has been transformed bit by bit into a mixed residential and working area since 2009. On the old industrial estate, there are large multi-tenant buildings that still have the old raw character, including the Caballero factory and the Fokker Terminal. Both venues still have their industrial look and there is plenty of space. The Caballero Factory can accommodate 250 people, and the Fokker Terminal up to a thousand! The venues are easy to reach. From the A12 motorway it is a three-minute drive through the Binckhorst, and both locations have a bus stop five minutes' walk away.

Rotterdam

To stay in the theme of former industrial buildings, the tip is in Rotterdam Depot North. This meeting venue is located in a former bread factory, right in the heart of 'Urban Rotterdam', a stone's throw from Rotterdam North Station and the A20 motorway.

The special thing about this venue is that it consists of just one meeting room of about 70 m2. The room can be arranged flexibly, providing space for 2 to 35 people. Tables and chairs can be placed in various arrangements. Because of this, the venue is suitable for meetings, training sessions, healing sessions and even private dinners. And another important extra: the story goes around that the cake served is delicious!

Utrecht

In Utrecht, Worldmeetings tips the historic meeting venue het Bartholomew's Hospital. Here, you meet in the unique Regentenzaal, among other places. This hall was built in 1632 and is part of the Dutch Cultural Heritage. Since its construction, the Board of Regents of the Bartholomeus Gasthuis has met here to discuss the core tasks of the hospital. So a meeting room in the Randstad with history!

But not only the venue is special. The whole location has an important function in Utrecht. The Bartholomeus Gasthuis is a nursing and care home that has existed since 1367.And now, more than 650 years later, it still functions as a place where Utrechters can age healthily, enjoyably and vitally. So they call themselves the city foyer of Utrecht and it is used for multiple purposes.

Amsterdam

The most booked venue through Worldmeetings is Aristo Amsterdam. This is not surprising, as this location has been offering all possibilities and services for an inspiring meeting, training or conference for over 35 years. Aristo finds it important that everyone can focus on the content of the day, and therefore wants to unburden as much as possible. We can only appreciate that. Worldmeetings thinks every meeting is decisive. And a good decision requires focus. So Aristo Amsterdam takes good care of that. The location is easily accessible via Amsterdam Sloterdijk station, and has its own car park.

When you think of meetings in Amsterdam, you don't immediately think of Sloterdijk? We understand that too. There are many other possible locations. One of the best accessible locations is Grand café-restaurant 1st class. Located ín Amsterdam Central Station is the Four Seasons Waiting Room, a meeting room designed in 1881 as a first-class waiting room. The design contains references to classic stories and moralising texts. An inspiring meeting room in the Randstad, at the most accessible location in Amsterdam!
