Epe-based conference hotel Villa Heidebad has been around since 1935. Back then, however, it was called Kampeercentrum Vennenholt, a name that was later changed to Vacantie-oord Heidebad. The manager at the time was Mr C.W. Marx. The resort changed hands in 1947. Many individuals have since celebrated their holidays in the Eper hamlet of Wissel.
Since the 1980s, Hotel Villa Heidebad has been increasingly transformed into a conference hotel. In 2005, Wim and Joyce van Vilsteren took over this beautiful hotel in Wissel.
Bjarne Pechler has been working there since 2012. His wife Rosemarijn, also the daughter of Wim and Joyce, eventually joined Villa Heidebad as well.
On 12 June 2020, the Van Vilsteren family celebrated the 15-year anniversary of their business. That was also when Conference Hotel Villa Heidebad officially passed into the hands of Bjarne and Rosemarijn. The couple talks about their successful meeting location and conference hotel: "Here, our luxurious, modern meeting rooms provide atmosphere and experience. Here, concepts such as casualness, approachability and hospitality are flawlessly combined with high-quality culinary cuisine. With us, you will find peace and space for inspiration. We call that culinary conferencing.?
