In 1853, from the estate of King William II the countryhouse – the villa “Hideaway” – was bought. In this villa are now the bar, library and kitchen.
The current main hall – the beating heart of the society – gained its present shape in the period 1871 and 1883. The grande decorations of the walls and ceiling by Eduard Willem Frederik Kerling made in 1885 and the conservatory is built in 1905 .
In the period 2010/2011, the paintings have been cleaned and restored, it is proud that the 2012 Hague Restoration Prize has been awarded for these restaurations. Also all technical facilities were built in or renovated.
The stained-glass windows in the walls and the ceiling are among the finest in the region, along with the beautiful parquet floor and the paintings above the hall make this a unique location for stylish events for small and large groups.
With a 165 sqm large hall, conservatory 45 sqm, 80 sqm bar, smoking room 55 sqm, 35 sqm library. Ajoining the conservatory and the smoking room is a patio with seating elements and garden.
